Triv101: Free Online "Survey" Style Trivia Game, Ready To Play With Friends On Zoom, Or Other Video Conferencing Apps.

Ok, so I'll admit that this game was initially intended to be played live, on a big-screen, with teams separated into tables and a hilarious host on the microphone. However, when covid-19 happened, we realized this games fits perfectly in the online video conferencing format. Be sure to ask about this game as an option for your Virtual Event. The Premium Version of Triv101 is included when you hire us as your Virtual Event Hosts, as well.

How to use Triv101 for Virtual Trivia on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet:

  • Schedule your event on Zoom.us.
  • Once everyone has arrived to your event, separate players into teams and establish their "Team Name".
  • (Optional) create "breakout rooms" for each team to allow them to discuss answers privately.
  • Input team names into the Triv101 board. Minimum of 2 teams, maximum of 24 teams.
  • Decide how many points you will need to win the game. Default is 101 points (exactly) to win. For a shorter game, try 51 points. For a longer game try 301 points.
  • Decide if you want to use the normal version of the game, where each number may be used unlimited times. For the Hard version, uncheck "infinite questions" on the main menu, and each number value will only be able to be used once. Note: if you use up all the numbers in this case and no team has gotten down to exactly Zero, the game will end and winner is the closest team to Zero.
  • If you go past Zero without hitting it exactly, the points for that turn will be omitted.
  • Each Question is for the team whose turn it is only. They must make their answer choice before clicking "Reveal Top Answer".
  • If the team is correct in the most popular answer, they get to choose to keep their points, or guess the 2nd most popular answer.
  • If they "Go For A Double" and answer correctly, the team can then choose to "Go For A Triple" or to "Take Points".
  • If at any time they guess an answer, but it is not in line with the most popular answers, or they are out of order, their turn will end and it will be the next team's turn.
  • The "host" will control all the clicking of numbers, and ask the teams if they would like to continue or take their points.
  • Good luck! Have Fun, and once you begin seeing repeat questions in the game, you should consider upgrading to Premium Version of Triv101 to add 1000 new questions.
